YouTube puts shorts in front of TV and users are not happy

What you need to know

  • YouTube shakes the subscription page in an update announced last month and is now being introduced.
  • Shorts are now placed on the top of the visible area on the page, so that users have to scroll in order to see conventional long -term content.
  • This option is introduced for YouTube app users in televisions and consoles such as Apple and Google TV hardware.

YouTube leads to a change in his app for televisions and consoles, which prioritizes shorts content before their subscriptions. The tweak, which has been announced last month, has excited the Subscription tab on the YouTube app for television.

It separates YouTube shorts from long-shaped videos and places shorts at the top of the subscription tab. This change is widespread for televisions and consoles, including Google TV and Apple TV hardware, as reported by Reddit users and 9to5google.

The new shorts line on the subscription page page still shows videos of channels and creators that you have subscribed to. However, the vertical length of the shorts suggestions means that long-shaped youtube videos on the subscription page without scrolling are no longer fully visible.

Shorts were previously mixed with a user’s main subscription feed. The new update adds the separation for the vertical, short -term content of YouTube and the traditional horizontal, long -formed content of the platform. For some, it will take place at the expense of user -friendliness, since users now have to scroll in order to see their traditional YouTube subscription line on the subscription side.
