You can’t miss the happenings of this year’s Miami Art Week

Miami Art Week is poised to once again take the art world in Miami and Miami Beach by storm.

With more than 20 art fairs showcasing more than 1,200 galleries, as well as installations and parties taking place across the vibrant city to celebrate the beauty and importance of art, here is a list of some of the events and unique art offerings that are worth mentioning to visit and enjoy. CitizenM’s awakening to a world full of art

This is a week-long initiative celebrated across three Miami facilities – CitizenM Miami Worldcenter, CitizenM Miami Brickell and CitizenM Miami South Beach – with the following activities:

Emerging artist Anna Valdez hosts a live painting experience as she complements her existing mural at the entrance of CitizenM Miami South Beach.

Rooftop lounge Night Swim partners with Secret Walls and 7-Eleven to offer guests a branded experience with music, art battles and more. Don’t miss watching a live Secret Walls Paint Battle.

Inspired by CitizenM’s recent cyanotype campaign and led by Anna Goraczko, visitors can create their own cyanotype art using the effect of sunlight. This unique hands-on workshop combines the science of photography with the artistry of printmaking.

Marina Abramovic x Massimo Dutti

Artist Marina Abramovic

The collaboration between the renowned performance artist Marina Abramović and the international fashion label Massimo Dutti is uniquely wonderful. “Nomadic Journey” showcases Abramović’s approach to art and her personal creative journey for the first time. An exhibition showcasing more than four decades of her drawings, poems, photographs and reflections.

In addition, Abramović’s latest illustrated book “Nomadic Journey and Spirit of Places” and exclusive limited edition merchandise will be available for purchase at the exhibition, Massimo Dutti’s newest flagship at Aventura Mall and online.

OG4evers sports art exhibition

Calling all sports fanatics! Wynwood-based art gallery OG4ever is hosting Miami’s first sports art exhibition hosts seven international artists, all of whom will be in town for a week. The exhibition celebrates the dynamic intersection of sport and art. Additionally, OG4ever will unveil a bronze sculpture of football legend Pelé’s hands, created by fifth-generation sculptor Dante Mortet.

Other works on display include large-scale paintings that incorporate real memorabilia, including Michael Jordan’s “The Wings” painting, which features a piece of his Chicago courtroom floor signed by Jordan himself. The art gallery, which houses more than 25 works, is open to the public and offers a variety of art experiences.

Visitors can also learn about Dante’s time with Pelé in Brazil before the icon’s death, and guests are invited to add brushstrokes to Murray Henderson’s painting of Leonel Messi.

Cartier Trinity 100 Pop Up

Cartier Trinity 100 Pop Up

Cartier is celebrating the 100th anniversary of its iconic Trinity collection with a special pop-up experience in Miami. The immersive Trinity 100 experience celebrates the collection’s rich history and takes visitors from the present back to 1924, when Louis Cartier designed the first Trinity jewelry piece.

Gucci snow globe installation

Gucci celebrates the festive season with an eye-catching snow globe installation. This immersive exhibition, inspired by Gucci’s travel history, showcases iconic GG monogram luggage among miniature buildings significant to Gucci’s history. Complementing the installation, Gucci, in collaboration with American artist Corydon Cowansage, created three murals featuring biomorphic shapes and a vibrant color palette, adding depth and movement to the space as part of an expanded Gucci Art Wall takeover.

Exhibition Craig Robins Collection 2024-2025, The sleep of reason

Kai Althoff’s “A Man Called Free” from “The Sleep of Reason”.

The Craig Robins Collection in Miami includes more than 1,500 pieces of contemporary art and innovative design and is on display at Dacra’s headquarters in the Miami Design District. The new edition of the collection for 2024-2025 is entitled “The Sleep of Reason” and is based on Francisco de Goya’s “El sueño de la razón Produce monstruos,” part of his major print series “Los Caprichos.” This seminal work anchors a dual presentation of works by Kai Althoff (German, born 1966) and Jana Euler (German, born 1982), two artists whose works deal with bitter imagery and often depict insane or complex emotional landscapes in their figuration.
