Xreal Debüt’s project Aura Brille who operate Android XR

Xreal announced a number of so -called “expanded reality” wind players on Tuesday that run the Android XR software from Google Meta And Apple In a new arena.

Xreal, a Chinese company supported by Alibaba, calls its glasses Project Aura and describes it as a light expanded reality – or XR product. XR is a broad term that includes technologies that merge real and virtual worlds.

Android XR, Google’s operating system for these products, was launched last year and was infected with its AI assistant Gemini.

The project of Samsung from Project Moohan, a kind of headset that wants to keep up with the 3,500 dollar -vision Pro from Apple, was announced by the first device to perform Android XR. Samsung plans to start the hardware this year.

The XREALS project is the second device operated with Android XR, and it is the first such device in glasses format.

Only a few details were published by the tech, which were announced at the Google I/O conference. XReal said the glasses would have Qualcomm‘S Snapdragon XR chips that are specially designed for these hardware pieces.

Xreal also said that the glasses are “bound”, which means that they will connect to another device to run. The company has not yet given any details about which the glasses have to be linked.

The startup has released previous products that operate its internal operating system, contained its own chips and are connected to its own second device. However, the Project Aura will now rely more on Google and Qualcomm -Halenreiter’s software.

The timeline and the price for the project restaurant were not immediately disclosed. Xreal will probably publish a headset for developers to first experiment and create apps, then a consumer goods at a later date.

The more devices that run Android XR, the more attractive, the more devices create developers apps for the operating system. A large part of the success of an operating system is the quality of the apps available for users.

For XReal, an early partner on Google and the cooperation with Qualcomm will give access to the latest technology in the XR area and for marketing for its products.
