WWE is interested in the signing of Top Free Agent

WWE

WWE recently was interested in signing a top -free agent according to a new report.

It was a busy start to the year for WWE when it comes to new signatures. The former AEW stars Penta and Ricky Saints made their debut in January and February and like Rey Fenix, Malakai Black and Miro with the accession to the company.

A name that was not one of the rumored WWE signings is Jeff Cobb. The experienced star, which has been a staple from NJPW since most of the past decade and only took part in the campaign this week.

According to several sources, Sean Ross Sapp from Fightful Select has learned that WWE has recently “had Cobb in mind”. The 42-year-old star raised the eyebrows in relation to his future with comments after the loss of a game last month.

As stated in Fightful’s report, said Cobb:

“So where does Jeff Cobb leave? It seems that I can’t win when all the marbles are below. G1, New Japan Cup. The days when I went 8-0 in the G1 are long. Now I can’t even break .500.

“Where does Jeff Cobb leave? Maybe it’s time to take my bags and go elsewhere. I don’t know. I don’t know.”

A source even said Fightful that Cobb had recently appeared on the internal squad of WWE. However, this could not yet be confirmed.

When Fightful spoke to AEW sources about Cobb, they were informed that he was not expected to join her company.

We will present further updates of the future of CobB and the potential step towards WWE if further information is available.
