Hyatt limits members to 10 talented awards per year

Nowadays, World of Hyatt gives members most types of awards to other travelers. This includes most of the awards received by the milestone premium program, such as Suite Upgrade Awards, Club Access Awards, Honorary Prizes and Free Night Awards. To be honest, it is an incredibly generous policy and it is an important point of differentiation for those who appreciate to share benefits with friends and family.

It is worth noting that Hyatt adds a minor restriction to transfer rewards to others. From June 7, 2025, World of Hyatt members can receive a maximum of 10 talented awards per calendar year. There is no limitation of how many awards you can give, but only how many you can receive.

According to the updated general terms and conditions:

From June 7, 2025, a member can be awarded a maximum of ten (10) in the calendar year on the process described above. This restriction only applies to the preservation of transmitted gift prices. The members are still able to transfer as many legitimate awards as they wish.

This seems completely sensible because I cannot imagine that many people receive so many talented awards per year. I imagine that most people who receive more than 10 talented awards within one year probably do not play within the rules.

Note that there are no new limits within the old rules for the transfer of points to other members, as this is still possible.

I am surprised that we have not seen any further restrictions

It was not until the beginning of 2024 that the World of Hyatt, which made most of the types of awards, made it possible for others. It is a very customer -friendly policy that I am pleased to see, although I honestly expected that we would see some fraud and abuse in view of the lack of restrictions.

As we know, there is a large underground business with the sale of airlines and hotel bonuses in view of the ArbitraGe opportunities. So I have to say that I am very pleasantly surprised by the lack of new restrictions that we have seen.

Conclusion

From June 2025, World of Hyatt limited members to 10 talented awards per calendar year. I cannot imagine that many people will receive more than 10 talented awards per year in a legitimate way, and I don’t think that this limit is inappropriate. However, it is worth being aware of it.
