Why does Red Sox Top Prospect not become “salty” about the lack of callup

Roman Anthony is not impatient in Worcester, or at least the top Red Sox -prospect will not admit that much publicly.

Major League-capable of the No. 1 view in baseball. That would have been difficult to argue after the spring training, and Anthony left no doubt about it in the first quarter of the season in Triple-A Worcester.

Despite a recent mini slump, Anthony meets with six homes and 18 RBIs in 43 games .316. He also has eight doubles, a few triple, has 39 walks and an ops of 0.959. When he gets in touch, it is usually in the middle of the run with an output speed that Infieldder Duck should make.

But when the Red Sox opened a series with four games with Baltimore with a Doubleheader in Fenway on Friday, Anthony will be 45 miles west, who is preparing for its own Doublehead with the Durham Bulls.

There is still no direct way to Boston for Anthony at least not without the Red Sox, who make a difficult decision about her current large league list-but the 21-year-old does not sound too stressful due to his location.

“We joke about it (if a call could happen) and we make it light,” Anthony told Boston Globe’s Alex Speier. “And I think that’s the only way to do it somehow. No reason to be salty. I can play baseball here, regardless of the level I am at. I can play baseball every day, so I am not really concerned about it.

“I think if you ask yourself too much and worry too much about tomorrow or next day or the next week, somehow get yourself into difficulties. I think I have started a good start this year, only where my feet are, and enjoy this team, enjoy this staff and every day better.”

At least Anthony can control the narrative on a large league level.

When he gets the chance to show the rest of his game in the Bigs in the air. The Red Sox are preparing for a fairly significant weekend series. The Orioles were terrible this season, and the inconsistent SOX could get on the right track by contributing to Baltimores misery.

But if Boston cannot take advantage of sacking birds, it could be time to think about shaking up the squad, and Anthony would certainly be a good starting point.
