Weeks before the end of the 21-year-old UC Berkeley student of UC Berkeley, Bandna Bhatti, paralyzes after autumn at the FRAT House Party

Washington:

A 21-year-old Indian Origin, who was only a few weeks away from the University of California in Berkeley, was paralyzed from the waist downwards after falling from a balcony at a brotherhood party in April. Bandna Bhatti, who is striving for a degree in Data Science, slipped out of a staircase outdoors in the fraternity staircase in Phi Kappa at around 1 p.m. on April 19 at around 1 p.m.

After the tragic fall, the woman received no proper medical treatment for about seven hours before her friends finally called 911, according to a report by Fox KTVU.

“She can’t go. She can’t move her body,” her mother Sukh Bhatti said to KTVU.

What happened?

According to the family, Bhatti was at Cal Day at UC Berkeley at a brotherhood celebration- an annual open day for incoming beginners and their family- when she fell about 12 feet and landed on a narrow passage in front of the fried house. She hit her head on the way down, where she remained unattended for 15 minutes before she was discovered by her friends, her family said KTVU.

Her friends then took her to the house in fraternity, but instead of calling emergency services, people in the fried house supposedly asked her to leave the party with her. Bhati’s friends were not aware of the extent of their injuries and brought them back to their nearby apartment, the family claimed.

Her friends called 911 about seven hours later.

In addition to a spinal fracture that led to paralysis, Bhatti suffered serious injuries, including tearing the Dura with spinal fluid clever, a scapulation fracture and a brain hematoma, her sister Sonya Bhatti wrote on a Gofundme page created by the medical care of the university.

“She is currently hospitalized. These injuries are not only life -changing, but also require extensive and continuous medical care, including physiotherapy, rehabilitation and specialized support to control your new chapter,” says the page.

On the side, Bhatti mentioned only three weeks before the UC Berkeley ended with a degree in Data Science-“A milestone for which she had worked so hard.”

University offers support

UC Berkeley and the fraternity meanwhile said they supported the students and their family.

“UC Berkeley is aware of an ongoing police investigation with regard to reports of a student nearby or in a brotherhood. During this time, our thoughts are with the student, their family, their relatives and friends. We pursue our minutes to offer support to the student and their family,” said the university in a explanation.

“Our thoughts are with the individual and their relatives during this challenging time. The health, security and well-being of all people in our community remain our highest priority,” said Matt Arnold, CEO of the National Phi Kappa Tau organization, in a statement by New York Post.
