Tribute pour in as boxer Georgia O’Connor

The founder and CEO of Boxxer, Ben Shalom, also published a message in his personal social media accounts.

“It is difficult to understand this … A lot is going on in life in life, but nothing more than her family and her health,” wrote Shalom. “My heart goes to Georgia’s parents and partners, of whom I know that she did everything she could do tirelessly and just go through so much.

“Georgia was an inspiring person and one that I will never forget. Sorry for her family and all of her friends. Really heartbreaking.”

England Boxing wrote: “We are deeply sad about the death of Georgia O’Connor. As a talented boxer and beloved member of the amateur boxing community, she won medals at the Commonwealth Youth Games, Youth Worlds & European Championships. Our thoughts are with her loved ones.”
