Tribute pour in as boxer Georgia O’Connor

After the death of the British boxer Georgia O’Connor, who died after the death of 25 years after Krebs, tribute were received.

O’Connor won several youth medals and represented Great Britain before he went 3-0 as a professional. The Durham boxer last took part in October 2022 and was on a purely female card in the London O2 Arena, an event, which was led by Claressa Shields and Savannah Marshall.

In an Instagram contribution in January, O’Connor revealed her diagnosis and said that she had suffered two diseases that dramatically increase the likelihood of cancer.

On May 9, she married her partner Adriano Cardinali. According to the boxer’s mother, he had left his job to support O’Connor during her treatment.

“We are broken by the death of Georgia O’Connor,” was a social media contribution by Boxxer, who promoted her last fight on Thursday (May 22nd). “As a real warrior inside and outside the ring, the boxing community has lost a talented, brave and determined young woman much too early.

“Georgia was loved, respected and admired by her friends here at Boxxer. Our thoughts are with their loved ones in this difficult time.”
