Welcome back, people. It’s not just the weekend, it’s the first weekend in May. Fresh month and fresh face as your nyt mini crossword Sherpa. I’m gone for a few weeks, but I’m back now and we have the largest crossword of the week to put down. Let’s knock!

The NYT Mini is a smaller, faster, more digestive version of the larger and challenging crossword puzzles, and in contrast to its larger siblings, it can be free to play on the play New York Times website Or Nyt Games app. However, you need a subscription from Nyt Games to access earlier puzzles in the archive.

Another rather challenging mini crossword puzzle today, especially if – like me – do not know anything about “shark tank” and therefore do not know that it is Lori Greiner. Of course, 1-down does not work if you first have 5-afters, and that could have been as easy as it could have been. That’s why I just kept skipping words like Neptune, of which I was sure of, and see that I was looking for the right one. I was pretty sure about act too. Then it was all about working backwards and filling the gaps. However, I am understood and tired, so my brain stubbornly refused to blow up all cylinders, and this brought me 2:56 to complete them.
