“My favorite maneuver is personally the tactical pitch,” she said. “So I do that at the end of the air show. It looks like the jet is a bit on a skateboard through the sky.”

Kluesner, who was in the demo team for 10 years, said she was inspired to fly when she was 6 years old.

“I actually saw Jets about a football game from the Air Force Academy and that inspired me to become a pilot,” she said. “So, I think it is very important for people to see these jets in action. It is super inspiring. You will see it this weekend and you will give you goose bumps and I just want to pay for it so that these children may see a dream out there.”

When it comes to flying the F-35 Lightning II, Kluesner said: “It feels like you are driving a roller coaster with a lot of power. It’s an explosion.”
