The first look at Shedeur Sanders, Dillon Gabriel during the rookie -miniMamps

After Rookie Minicamp’s first day, it was also the beginning of the competition in the quarterback. Representatives took both Gabriel and Sanders in all periods and changed in individual exercises and with different groups during 11- against 11- and 7-against-7 periods.

Stefanski said she had included a long 7-on-7 period in the mixture of team exercises to maximize the repetitions for both quarterbacks. The idea during the entire rookie -Minicamp is to divide the repetitions between Gabriel and Sanders.

“You can get the first repetition of practice with them, but in the next period you can get the second group. So we vary it continuously. We focus more on the whole of this competition,” said Stefanski. “I told the players last night that we tell you – we rate everything you want to see in the field, in the meeting room, in the weight room, how you work. So this is a total assessment. It’s not just about a representative at Rookie Minicamp or a representative in an OTA.

While it is the first time that the two are together in Browns jerseys on the field, Stefanski repeated that both Gabriel and Sanders thrown live during the preliminary design process. They spent time with both players in environments outside of the CrossCountry mortgage campus and went through scenarios. But Stefanski saw, however, that the two went through repetitions and exercises on the first day of the rookie mini -minicamp, and said they were “as announced”.

“I thought both boys did a really good job and there is so much to work,” said Stefanski. “And it is the minutia of the position. There are some technique. It is that the operation that has to do better, all of these things are. We are here. That is why we will work really hard in the next few days to prepare these boys in front of the veteran stream on Monday.”
