The defeat of Rockies against Phillies gives the worst record of Colorado MLB in 50 games since 1901

The Colorado Rockies lost 2-0 against the Philadelphia Phillies on Thursday to continue a historically bad start to the 2025 season.

The loss has dropped to 8-42 this year, which is the worst record that a team published in the MLB modern era. The 42 -defeats of the Rockies in the shadow presented the previous record of 41 by the 1904 senators in Washington (today known as Minnesota Twins).

The record-breaking defeat ended a series swing for the National League Leading Phillies and extended the Rockies defeat to five games. Colorado starter Germán Márquez (1-7) had one of his better season excursions and only allowed a deserved run with four goals through seven innings.

Not much worked for Colorado this year. The Rockies Pitching employees came into the game on Thursday with the highest era of the league (5.92), and their lineup has the third-resistant OPS (.648) in baseball.

The team announced that Chase Dollander injured the Wiegen director of the Pitching Staff (with two), was placed on the 15-day injured list of the right forearm tightness on Thursday.

The 23-year election in the first round came into the season as the second highest view of the Rockies in Keith Law’s ranking.
