Temple students have attacked, arrests as adolescents cause chaos near the campus: civil servants

PHILADELPHIA – – Temple councils say that a decent meeting of young people quickly cost a curve on Saturday evening and ends with at least three university students.

The crowd returned on Sunday evening and asked the police to send a message immediately.

What we know

A group of unattended young people gathered near Broad Street and the Cecil B. Moore Avenue around 7 p.m.

The Ministry of Public Security and the police from Temple University supervised the scene, but asked again when the crowd started to become louder.

A temple student was attacked near Temple Towers, another student was attacked near the 12th and the Montgomery Street, and a third student reported that he was pushed to the ground.

The first two students are evaluated for their injuries, but the third did not need medical help.

More than a dozen police officers from Philly on motorcycles drove to Cecil B. Moore near Broad Street after a large amount of teenagers gathered for the second time in a row on Sunday.

The students shared their cell phone videos with us.

A student told me that his friend, a temple senior, had been thrown by his bike and ended up in the hospital.

What we don’t know

Officials say that arrests were made throughout the evening, but those who are responsible for the attack were not identified.

“Incidents like this evening are unacceptable. Although we did not have a warning before today’s meeting, Tudps regularly stood in contact with PPD in terms of planned and unannounced youth gatherings. These meetings usually take place on public property, but their effects have a negative impact on our temple community.

Temple students reacted after gathering the youth quantities described by Temple Police as a disordered youth description on the campus on Saturday evening.

“I think it has to change in relation to the security of all students and other people who live here,” said Grant Samon, a temple student.

“Only people ran around, loudly noise. It was quite overcrowded on the streets. I went to the shop and saw the craziness, the children ran around. It was wild,” added Samon.

“Usually at the weekend, many large groups of high schools come over and cause a scene. There are many of them,” said Marley Ruiz, another temple student.

Freshman Teo Beach has recorded a video from his dormitory.

“I was about to go outside to eat, but I was a little scared. I just stayed inside. You never know,” said Strand.
