While the election results develop, the Internet was flooded with memes and discussions, with many users attributing AAP to the internal discord, in particular the conflict between the Prime Minister Arvind Kejriwal and Rajya Sabha MP Swati Maliwal. Internet users shared humorous and critical memes, some of which suggest that Maliwal’s actions played a role in the poor performance of the party.

Although Swati Maliwal did not take part as a candidate for the assembly elections in Delhi, she actively expressed concerns about civic questions in the city. In the past few months it has illuminated problems such as garbage structure, water logs and poor hygiene. Accordingly, she personally visited areas such as Burari and Vikaspuri to record and share videos in order to highlight infrastructure. Just a week before the elections, Maliwal, together with her supporters, invited garbage to Mini trucks and tried to dispose of it outside of Kejriwal’s residence in the Ferozeshah Road. The police then arrested it and brought to the Parliament Street police station.
