Chelsea arrives in Nord -London after claiming her sixth Barclays -Women -Super -League title in a row in the middle of the week. When Vilahamn spoke in the press conference before the game, he said that he was impressed by the success of the blues.

“I was very impressed by Chelsea in the last six seasons,” said Vilahamn. “The main thing is that you have a new manager and new player.

“What they do in the women’s play is massive. I think they are great role models for many clubs. We try to keep our pace to get there too, but I am very impressed by what they do, they are very good.”

The Spurs are currently in the tenth position in the Super League table of the Barclays Women’s Super League, six points in front of the upper half. Vilahamn says that there is a fine line that separates several teams in the ranking.

He said: “We created our position (in the table). We should have won some of the games against the teams around us.

“If we had won two and a half of these games, we would be fifth place. This is the small lead that we talk about when people say that we had the worst season ever. It is true that we are not overcrowded, we are lower.

“To be honest, I don’t care whether we are fifth or tenth, it’s more about being consistent when we play. In some games against the top teams, we have to be much more competitive and find ways to take part, and in other games we have to score more goals and clean leaves.

“We will learn a lot from both this season.

“It’s not a good season, we are not satisfied with it, but I am very sure that I know what we have to do to be better in the next season.”

Spurs go to the game win this weekend in nine games. Vilahamn has recorded improvements in the past few weeks, but admits that the game management could be much better.

He said: “We created opportunities from West Ham to this game, but we did not manage to defend our box in some important moments and the opponents have achieved. We started returning in games, but we didn’t close the games.

“We are playing decent at the moment and playing, but we don’t manage the games. All teams in this league have high -quality players and it is associated with the bad run of the games we had. We still juggle confidence. Sometimes there is no trust because they have not won for some time.

“At the moment we deserve to take part in competitions, and we actually play a certain style that I know that he is giving our players a good platform for the next season. We try everything to win, but we also do this through the way we player recruit how we player educate and develop. We work every day to find a way to win.”
