Sony Xperia Event for May 13th – Xperia 1 VII expected

Sony planned its Xperia Product Launch event on May 13, at which the company is expected to launch the new Xperia 1 VII flagship smartphone. Sony has already confirmed that it will start new Xperia telephones in 2025, which is powered by Snapdragon 8 Gen Elite Mobile Platform so that we can expect the chip in the flagship.

The phone recently appeared in the Geekbench list with the model number XQ-FS54 and confirmed Snapdragon 8 Elite SOC, 12 GB RAM and Android 15 for the phone.

The phone was recently certified by the US FCC and unveiled dimensions of 162 x 74.5 x 8.5 mm, which makes it a little thicker. This also resulted in 4850 mAh minimal / 5000 -MAH -typical battery for the phone, like the predecessor.

Based on rumors, the 6.5-inch display size should remain the same, and the phone should pack a 48-megapixel main camera with OIS, a 12-MP-periscope-tele camera (70-200 mm focal length) and a 12-megapixel front camera.
