Sherri Papini breaks the silence in the first interview in the first interview 9 years after the notorious kidnapping shoe

• For the first time since her fake “kidnapping”, Sherri Papini speaks publicly to transform her into a feeling of media.
• Papini was “missed” for three weeks in 2016 and later claimed that she was kidnapped-but she was actually with her ex-boyfriend, who helped her to create false injuries in order to create the appearance of a kidnapping.

Sherri Papini, the California mother, who claimed that she was kidnapped while jogging before she admitted that her claim was a joke and spent time in the federal prison.

“Have you never lied? And then the lie was blown into the air?” Papini says in a trailer about the new documents Sherri Papini: caught in the lie. “I missed in 2016 and was gone for 22 days. I was tortured; I was branded; I was chained to a wall.

The four -part Docuseries premiere on the ID on Monday, May 26th, around 9/8c and offers “exclusive access to Sherri Papini himself” and “Retraces Papini from the days before their disappearance into their alleged kidnapping, their shocking return to their family and the following episode, which led to their arrangement of 202 22, and after a press violation after a follow -up Press injury.

“For the first time, Papini will share her report on events while she remembers her and gives rare insights into her way of thinking during her disappearance and the subsequent examination of her kidnapping claims via her return,” continues the publication.

The Docuseries will also concentrate on their life after the prison and their struggle for their two children with ex-husband Keith Papini.

Papini’s story began on November 2, 2016, on the day she claimed that she had gone to a jogging in her Redding district and was kidnapped by two armed, masked Hispanic women who claimed her, tortured her, branded her and kept it chained in a bedroom.

22 days later she was run in a parking lot – on Thanksgiving day. Her family and the Community of Redding, who had spent the days looking for her, gathered largely around her.

After examining their alleged kidnapping, however, the local and federal authorities found that Papini had invented the incident and had hidden with an ex-boyfriend in South California.

When the ex-boyfriend was confronted by authorities, she allegedly admitted that he had helped Papini walk away because she had told him that her husband was abusive.

He also told the authorities that he and Papini had communicated about prepaid telephones and put together a program to pick them up in Redding and to drive them back to his apartment with two bedrooms in Costa Mesa.

During her stay, Papini “intentionally tried to lose weight”, chopped her own hair and “created the injuries while he stayed with him, including the battle, to create bruising and burn on her arms”, according to a federal complaint.

“Ex-boyfriend said he had helped her create some of the injuries, although he never put his hands directly on her. For example, she told him: ‘Bank a puck from my leg’, ‘he (he) shot a puck from her leg,” said the complaint.

Papini owed himself guilty and was sentenced to 18 months in prison and was released in early 2023. It was also instructed to pay more than 300,000 US dollars to several law enforcement associations.

Papini estranged husband Keith, who now pulls the two small children of the couple together, told the people in 2024 that he never asked whether his wife was honest with her – but now he sees red flags in large parts of her life story.

“When we got together for the first time and she told me the things, I believed her. I wouldn’t know why I wouldn’t do it,” said Keith, noticing her potential FIBs about the sale of used cars and her implementation of ballet in Orange County.

“I would not call them to check if they were real,” he continued. “But there were definitely some things in which I don’t match the timeline like me. ‘”
