Security advice as a central texas clips for storms

Austin, Texas – When the central texas enters his storm season, the local officials ask the residents to keep themselves prepared and informed. The Texas Department of Transportation (TXDOT) and the Homeland Security and Emergency Management of the City of Austin have shared important security tips to help the community control potential dangers.

David Wiechmann, reigning public information and marketing program manager at the city and emergency management of the city of Austin Homeland, emphasized the importance of willingness. “We work with our partners to ensure that we are always ready,” said Wiechmann. He emphasized the cooperation with the Department of Water catchment areas in order to monitor flood risks, and with the office of the homeless strategy in order to achieve the most endangered population in the city and to get them out of the elements.

Wiechmann also emphasized the need for personal willingness, especially during the fall flood season. “Central Texas houses many flood flood opportunities,” he said. He advised the residents to create a plan, to understand the risks of floodplain and have evacuation routes and to provide kits.
