Say “yes” (yes) to Roswell’s Christmas Market where you’ll find gifts and more

A taste of Germany’s traditional Christmas markets has made its way to Fulton County this year at Roswell’s second annual Christkindlmarkt, held daily through December 22nd. There’s plenty for guests to see and do – as well as eat and drink – as they browse the vendors’ wares and enjoy the holiday decorations. Entry is free.

Visit the beer garden and enjoy German beer or mulled wine, a spiced wine that is served hot and traditionally drunk in winter and at Christmas time. You can also buy treats like chimney cakes, made from a sweet yeast dough that’s rolled into a rope and baked around a cylinder before being sprinkled with cinnamon and sugar. They can then be filled with fruit or other sweets.

Vendors sell a wide variety of items that you can purchase to treat yourself or to tick off your gift list. Maison Carthage, for example, sells hand-carved olive wood items such as bowls and chess sets. Käthe Wohlfahrt has a large walk-in tent for her Christmas items from Germany, including Advent calendars, decorative items and nutcrackers.
