Joel Wolfe von Wasserman, Sasakis Agent, made it clear that the right-handed man had plenty of space for improvements than he hoped to achieve new heights under a team with strong pitching development.

“Roki is by no means a finished product. He knows it and the teams know. He is incredibly talented. We all know that,” said Wolfe in this off -season. “But he is a guy who wants to be great. He doesn’t come here to be rich or get a big contract. He wants to be great. He wants to be one of the greatest ever. I see it now and he has articulated it.”

The Dodgers convinced Sasaki to sign after a homework at LA why the right -handed speed was dipped during the 2024 season. Although there were always high expectations for Sasaki, it meant that the rotation of the Dodgers followed that there was no additional pressure to be an immediate star.

There are some almost two months of the season that have not yet been impressed by Sasaki’s performance.

“The favorites to win the National League Rookie of the Year were Roki Sasaki from the Dodgers, Dylan Crews of the Nationals and Matt Shaw from the Cubs,” Jim Bowden wrote in his article, who named the greatest disappointments of the Sason 2025. “Now, six weeks after the beginning of the season, none of them play the expectations.”

Dodgers’ rookie fought in his first two starts, but Sasaki has taken steps in the right direction since then. The right -hander has an ERA of 3.86 and 1.451 whip over seven starts.

While Sasaki is by no means an ace, he slowly comes into his own.
