Rakets should take a chance for Rookie Guard 3-1

The Houston missiles are 3-1 on the Golden State Warriors in a bad situation. After the 109-106 loss in Golden State last night, the Rockets will now play in Houston in a scenario “Win or Go Home”.

In the first three games in the series, the Rockets shot 41.3% of the field and 33% of three, including a miserable performance of game 1, in which they shoot 20.7% of three. The high production of the guards was a big problem for Houston.

The rockets need an answer with the back against the wall. Ime Udoka should try to give the bank with the lack of three-point shooting more minutes. He should take a chance for Rookie Guard Reed Sheppard.

Sheppard was collected in total in 2023 due to his shooting No. 3. Although he had to struggle a little in the regular season, he became more comfortable in the course of the season. In his last three games of the regular season, he shot 50% of three in 20 attempts.

Udoka can give Sheppard economical minutes, but the 6-foot 3-rookie should get a shot to improve Houston’s three-point problems. The defense of the Rockets was physically in the entire series, the crime is the only problem.

Fred Vanvleet showed a big improvement in game 4 and set up 25 points while knocking eight threesome. Apart from the 38-point performance of Game 2, Jalen Green could not be able to find its reason, especially when Jimmy Butler and Draymond Green on the

Even if it only applies to a few possessions, it could make a difference against the golden state if Sheppard could make a difference for catch and shooting. Times are hard for the rockets and they should be desperate to keep their season alive.

The only reason why Houston Sheppard would not play is his inexperience. The youngest player in the team hardly saw the post -season in any way and only played in game 2 minutes, so it is reasonable to be hesitant. He made a shot and missing. It is time for Udoka to collect a few looks and try to change the story of Houston’s shooting bodies.
