Pep Guardiola from Man City: This is my “most difficult” season

Pep Guardiola, head of Manchester City, admitted that this season was the most difficult of his career as a management.

Guardiola has observed how his team has difficulty maintaining the high standards in which they won four titles in a row.

At the beginning of the campaign, City slipped out of the race for the Premier League and was unloaded by Real Madrid in the first co -round of the Champions League.

You will still end the season with a trophy if you can beat Crystal Palace in the FA Cup, and you are on track to qualify for the Champions League of the next season.

But Guardiola, who also had spells in Barcelona and Bayern Munich in his 17 years, says that it will still fall as the most difficult of his career.

“It was the most difficult (season), that’s sure,” said Guardiola.

“It was more demanding. Much more. If you don’t win, it is more emotional and more prepared and the moods and everything.

“It was more difficult. It was more difficult than the previous seasons we played for the titles.”

Guardiola signed a contract for a stay at the Etihad Stadium by 2027.

The 54-year-old won 12 league titles in three countries and lifted the Champions League three times. But he insists that he will still have something to prove in the next season while trying to roll back the title of Liverpool.

“Every time we have to prove ourselves,” he said.

“When I listened to the players who said what I did in my career, I have nothing to prove. Conspirate. They should retire.

“When it is finished, it is ready. So people pay the tickets to get to the stadium to do it every time.

“I had to prove myself again and again. And I am disappointed by myself when it is not going well. When I am retired, I will check my career. But at the moment I have to prove the next game. So life doesn’t live from memories.”
