Patriots sign veteran, which is attributed to Kick Return experience

The patriots added more depth to their return position.

On Wednesday, the team recorded the veteran, the back and special team from Trayveon Williams. The 28-year-old back spent the last six NFL play times with the Cincinnati Bengals. To make room on the 90-man list, the patriots then released the defensive tackle Eric Johnson.

Williams performed in every game for the Bengals in the last two seasons. Most of his contributions, however, came as a core special team. Last year Williams played 10 snapshots compared to 253 snapshots in special teams. In 2023, Williams had a larger role in Cincinnati, which played 14.3% (156) of the offensive snapshots.

This year he also played 294 special teams. In six seasons, Williams rushed 307 yards with 15 catches for 74 yards. In special teams, Williams has 14 career -tackles.

Williams also has experience as a kick return. He returned 33 kickoffs for 743 yards with an average of 22.5.

Williams will join a revised running room, which includes Rhamondre Stevenson, Treveyon Henderson, Antonio Gibson, Terrell Jennings, Lan Larison and Fullback Brock Lame.

Johnson was claimed by the patriots last summer after the end of the patriots. The defensive Tackle played 11 games in Neuelfand and made 17 duels.

In this off-season, the patriots added several new defensive with a very looking deep card with a strongly looking Christian Barmore, Milton Williams, Khyiris Tonga, Joshua Farmer, Jeremiah Phams, Jacquelin Roy, Isaiah Iton and Jahvaree Ritzie.
