Panther’s WR Adam Thielen could retire after 2025 season

The second chapter of Adam Thielen‘S NFL career worked him as an important part of the Panthers offensive. The veteran widout remains in Carolina for 2025, but a decision on retirement could follow next spring.

“It could beYes,” Thielen said when he spoke to the media about the possibility that 2025 was his last season in the league (Video link about the Joe person of the athletic). “At the end of the season, I told you how every year you look back and you say what I have to give for this game? I spoke to my family and they wanted to continue playing. So it will be the same process. I’m not going to think about it now.”

In fact, the two-time Pro-Bowler said in February that he was thinking about hanging up his tunnels. So his last comments are not a surprise. At the moment Thielen – who turns 35 in August – will focus on a third campaign with the Panthers. After receiving a salary base in March, he remains an upcoming Free Agent from 2026.

As a former UDFA Viking, Thielen had a strong run in Minnesota with two campaigns over 1,200 yards. He was the focus of a Panthers offensive in which he was missing in 2023 when he accumulated 103 receptions (the second largest of his career). The product of the state of Minnesota was limited to 10 games last year, but it still led five touchdowns and had an average of 12.8 yards per catch.

Carolina selected a receiver in the first round of the last two designs. General manager Dan MorganProduced for the first two years at the top Xavier Leette And Tetairoa McMillan in this position. Leget will take a step forward compared to its production from his rookie campaign, while from McMillan handles a great workload at the beginning of his career. Thielen will remain a key member of the group because Carolina tries to build the dynamics on the offensive, which is to be completed last season.

This could see how the Panthers achieve the post -season, which Thielen did four times in his career. Regardless of whether this takes place, however, its final NFL campaign could be in 2025.
