Packers’ Malik Willis’s trade now looks even better because it is complete

Nobody saw the trade with Malik Willis after the previous season. The Green Bay Packers knew that they had to improve the Backup Quarterback position after Sean Clifford and Michael Pratt could not impress all summer, so they took a step.

The Packers sent a seventh rider for Willis to the Tennessee Titans, and it turned out to be a brilliant decision.

Willis helped the Packers to win three games, including two starts, while the titans found that they had left their best quarterback. It led them to the design of CAM Ward with the first overall selection on Thursday evening.

In Green Bay, Willis completed 40 out of 54 passes for 550 yards and three touchdowns. He also hurried 138 yards and a touchdown. The Packers may have missed the playoffs if they had captured as a backup quarters back at Clifford or Pratt – so important.

The titans exchanged the choice of packers in a contract with the Dallas Cowboys-Dallas sent a sixth to Tennessee to Tennessee and ran back Kenneth Murray. The titans used this selection on Michigan, which Kalel Mulings returned, while the cowboys also added another running back, Clemsons Phil Mafah.

It is fair to say that the Packers have won this trade, and it’s not even nearby. Willis has significantly improved the Backup Quarterback position and proved that the Packers could win games without Jordan love. Ironically, this included a victory over the titans.

Willis still has a year in his contract, and the packers can feel safe if he has to get in at any time.

In the end, the titans got their franchise quarters back with Ward, but the trade with Willis turned out to be a mistake.
