Occasional showers and storms in the next few days – finger lake weather

Weekend storms

As of today, warm and slightly humid air will return to the finger lake and pass it until Saturday.

An active weather pattern upstream over the upper Great Lakes and the Ohio Valley will send us waves of energy and thunderstorms to us, which leads to an unexplained weather.

Of the next three days, the quietest of the days will probably be today.

Clouds are over the area this morning, but should enforce a sunshine until lunch and afternoon.

A few isolated showers and light thunderstorms will appear when the temperatures push in the 1970s. The best probability of rain is between 3 p.m. and 9 p.m. Not all areas will see rain today.

All thunderstorms that appear should be limited to an occasional thunder and some brief rain.

As soon as the showers and storms dissolve in the cooling evening air, the rest of the overnight stay should be calm with depths in the upper 50 to low 60s.

A line of thunderstorms from the middle west is entered in the area early Friday morning, weaknesses and dissolves. How much of this system remains when it rolls through is uncertain and may play a role in what we see later a day.

More rain or a later arrival time would likely to reduce the likelihood of additional showers and storms in the afternoon. In the past or less rain, enough time can allow the atmosphere to be recharged.

Even if the atmosphere charges itself, there is not much to this energy in the afternoon to trigger additional storms. It will probably be due to subtle boundaries that are left behind by the morning system.

As you can see, it is a highly complex facility that deals with small differences in the atmosphere that could make a big difference in the forecast.

I currently expect a center of the street scenario in the morning, with rain in most areas in the early to medium morning, but weaker and easier over the eastern lakes.

During the afternoon I looked ahead of a few isolated showers and storms that appear during the middle to late afternoon, mainly over the eastern half of the region.

Since the temperatures in the mid -1960s push to 80 degrees and dewpoints, all storms that form, frequent flash, some small hail and some gusty winds can have frequent flashes.

Weekend crossing

Saturday may be the best chance for showers and storms in the entire region, although it also has its share of complexities.

As tomorrow, there are some remaining clouds and showers in the morning, from storms upstream up the last night. The chances for this are probably lower than on Friday, with the focus of the storm is further south in the previous night.

On Saturday there will also be a trigger mechanism if a cold front moves through the area.

As a restrictive factor, the atmosphere will not be quite juicy, with heights in the mid -1970s and dewpoints in the upper 50s and low 60s.

Nevertheless, there may be a few stronger afternoon storms if everything comes together properly.

The winds become stormy and cool behind the front on Sunday. Northwestern gusts over 35 miles per hour are possible and limit how far the temperatures can rise during the day. According to the morning lows of about 50 degrees, most areas do not reach 60 degrees in the afternoon.

Rain showers will be possible for some steady rain, especially in the northeastern lake, since some atmospheric energy revolves around the low -pressure system connected to the refrigeration front on Saturday.

The cool weather will work on Monday and Tuesday at the highest stalls with the mid -1950s.

The sky should be cloudy, with a few stray rain spit, but little chance of widespread or longer rain.

As long as the sky stays cloudy at night, the temperatures should mainly remain in the 40s. However, if the sky is clear, there could be a chance for a stained frost. Continue to monitor the forecasts for Monday and Tuesday evening when you have cold -sensitive plants in the ground.

The second half of the next week does not look much warmer, although the probability of rain should increase again, which reduces the risk of frost.

Overall, the second half of May with persistently insured weather looks pretty cool.
