NYC Memorial Day Weekend Road closures: parades to close several streets

Staten Island, NY – Memorial Day is a holiday on which the nation honors the one who has brought the ultimate victim. In some cases, this appreciation comes in the form of patriotic parades, which can lead to road closures.

This is the case for this weekend in New York City because many of these processions take place.

According to advice from the NYPD, the closures will be at the discretion of the police.

Here is the list of road closures for Sunday, May 25th and Monday, May 26, 2025, as the NYPD emerges.

Sunday, May 25th, 2025

104. College Point Memorial Day Parade in Queens

The formation will take place in the 28th Avenue between Ulmer Street and College Point Boulevard.

Route:

• College Point Boulevard, between the 28th Avenue and 26th Avenue
• 26th Avenue, between the College Point Boulevard and the 120th Street
• 120th Street, between 26th Avenue and Graham Court
• Graham Court, between the 120th street and College Point Boulevard
• College Point Boulevard, between Graham Court and 5th Avenue
• 5th Avenue, between College Point Boulevard and College Place

The spread takes place in the Poppenhusen Avenue between College Place and 119th Street.

Weest Hills Memorial Day Weekend Parade in Queens

Education will take place in the Metropolitan Avenue between the 75th Avenue and the Ascan Avenue.

Brooklyns 158. Memorial Day Parade

The education is located in the 3rd Avenue between the 71st Street and the 75th Street.

The formation takes place in Hart Boulevard between Forest Avenue and Castleton Avenue.

The formation will take place in the Myrtle Avenue between the 70th street and the Cooper Avenue.
