NIO shows 2025 ES6, EC6, ET5 & ET5T; Advance sales begin on May 10th

Nio has announced updated versions of its models ES6, EC6, ET5 and ET5T; Reservations are now open. The updated installation is based on the NT2.5 platform and leads to various changes in the configuration of the interior layout, the user interface and the drive train. Reserve until June 30, 2025 for 5 years of free battery swaps (240 vouchers) and 10,000 NIO points in delivery. The ES6 and the EC6 will come from the exhibition rooms by May 16, while the ET5 and ET5T will arrive on May 25th on May 25th.

Nio mentions a significant update is the redesigned interior, which is now centered around a horizontal touchscreen border area that is similar to the ET9 sedan. The cabin also has a new equipment selection switch that is mounted on the steering column that releases the room in the area of the center console. Further modifications include double wireless charging baths with cooling functions and cup holders who now comprise sliding ceilings to improve the convenience in everyday use.

Outside revisions are slightly, but help to distinguish the updated models from previous versions. The front end was revised with narrower lights running during the day in the newly designed headlight clusters. The body was also adjusted to improve aerodynamic performance.

The new ES6 and EC6 are inspired by NIOS flagship ET9 and contains a state -of -the -art intelligent cockpit. The centerpiece is a massive 15.6-inch-amoled touchscreen in the landscape orientation, supplemented by a 19.4-inch windshield head-up display (W-HUD) and an ultra-crosp-8 megapixel streaming back mirror. The latest Nomi Mate 3.0 Voice Assistant offers more natural interactions, while a classic equipment selection style replaces the previous layer mechanism for a more intuitive driving experience.

The ES6 and EC6 continue to use a dual engine drive train setup. The system includes an asynchronous engine of 150 kW at the front and a 210 kW synchronous engine of 210 kW on the back, with a total output of 490 hp and 700 Nm torque being combined. Three battery options are available, with the 150 kWh version giving the EC6 a CLTC-estimated range of up to 935 km.

NIO will continue to offer its Battery-as-a-Service program (BAAS) with which users can rent batteries instead of buying them directly. This setup remains available for customers who prefer the initial purchase costs.

NIOS latest, internal autonomous driving chip chip underpins the new models and delivers the performance for four of the leading processors in the industry. This extended hardware enables faster calculation, more efficient task planning and the support of complex AI-controlled security algorithms, which ensures smoother and more reliable functions for driving driving.

Passenger comfort has been improved. The seats have an 11-layer construction with 35 mm ultra-soft foam padding. They are padded in a smooth nappa leather with complicated sheet-vein quilts. By default, all front seats are equipped with heating, ventilation and massage functions. Heck passengers benefit from an improved “Easy Access” function for more comfortable entry and exit output.

The changes in these four models focus on improvements in user -friendliness, area and interfaces. While the overall design and the technical layout remain with previous versions, the 2024 updates show refinements to fix the feedback from the users and to align the functions in the current portfolio of NIO closer with other vehicles. NIO has not yet announced pricing for the 2025 models.

We will check the compacts of NIO, Firefly, on the Sunday Drive China this week.
