Nate Holden, former senator and council member of the LA, is over in 95 – Los Angeles Sentinel

The honorable Nate Holden, the former senator of the state of California and City Councilor of Los Angeles, died today, May 7th, according to his family.

Holden was active in democratic politics for decades and was in the public and state sector for more than 30 years. His service began as deputy head of County Supervisor Kenneth Hahn and lasted the next 16 years that the 10 representedTH District in the city council of La. In 1974 he was elected senator for the senator, where he served until 1978.

After Holden retired from the public office, he was advised in Los Angeles and specialized in government matters. He was a member of the National Contract Management Association, the Naacp, Urban League, the United States Commission on Government Procurement and Crenshaw Neighbors.

During his career, Holden always concentrated to meet the needs of the community. In an interview with the La Sentinel in 2024, he said: “When I was elected, I wanted to make sure that they understood that they brought me into office to be responsible for the best of strength to fulfill them, and that I had a policy of more open doors. And they were always welcome and my office was always given a positive reaction.”
