Update 1:34 PM: Jessy Elliott, the woman who triggered the Amber Alert in Savannah on Thursday, is now behind bars.

Her daughter Leilani was safe and intact.

The Savannah police worked with agencies in Florida and South Carolina to find Elliott and her daughter after Elliott allegedly left a building with Leilani during a planned visit on Thursday morning.

There was massive efforts to find the couple, and almost 24 hours later the Georgia Department of Human Services Elliott followed, which led to their arrest and Leilanis rescue by the MPs of Camden County.

The Savannah police charged Elliott for kidnapping and additional charges can follow.

Update 12:15 p.m.: Jessy Elliott was detained by the St. Mary’s police.

According to prison records, she was admitted to Camden County’s prison at 11:37 a.m.

Update 9:40 a.m. SPD says the child was found safely. Additional information has not yet been published.

First report: In Savannah, an amber alarm was spent after the disappearance of a 3-year-old girl.

They were last seen around 10:45 a.m.

According to the police, it is believed that the child is in extreme danger.
