Michael Jordan will be a “special contribution promoter” for reporting on the NBA by NBC

The network has not yet announced Jordan’s specific role and described it as a “special employee”. It is unclear how often Jordan will appear in the network or what tasks his tasks will mean.

Regardless of his role, Jordan is more than qualified to talk about sport. The Hall of Famer spent 15 years in the NBA and won six championships with the bulls. He was a 14-fold all-star, 11-time all-NBA selection, 10-time goal champion and five times MVP. To date, Jordan is considered the biggest basketball player ever.

After his career as a player, Jordan served in a front office role in the Washington Wizards. He then bought a minority stake in the Charlotte Hornets. He was appointed Managing Director of Basketball Operations with the club. Jordan finally achieved the majority of control over the team and recorded it until 2023 when he sold the franchise to Gabe Plotkin and Rick Schnall. Jordan is still a minority stake in the team.

Jordan Post-Nba career also led him to Nascar, where he owns his own team, 23xi racing.
