Michael Douglas “enjoys” a break from acting, not in a hurry to return

Michael Douglas is not in a hurry to get back in front of the camera.

The 80-year-old actor, who most recently appeared as Benjamin Franklin in the Apple TV+ mini series Franklin In 2024 it takes some time to focus on production and personal life.

“I enjoy my break and enjoy my life,” said Douglas about Deadline of his time outside the screen. “It was overwhelming to lead the production company and act at the same time.”

Douglas performs other films, an independent production company that was founded in 1997 and produced films as produced Don’t say a word, one night with McCools, Swimfan and more.

When it comes to spectacle, Douglas also made it clear that he did not take the term off the table.

“When something good arises that I really like. But I don’t feel a burning desire,” he admitted. “I’m still producing. I still love to bring people together.”

Douglas got the blockbuster treatment Dr. Hank Pym played in Marvel’s Ant-man Films, of which the last 2023 of 2023 were Ant-Man and the wasp: Quantumania. But he is not interested in returning to the role.

“I don’t think. I had the experience and was excited to do it,” he said. “I’ve never had a green screen picture.”

He also played together with his son Cameron Douglas (46) in the project that has not yet been published Blood nodes. But Michael could not provide any details about when the audience would see it, and simply noticed: “I think it is looking for distribution.”

Michael not only concentrated on production, but also came with his wife Catherine Zeta-Jones and her children Dylan Douglas (24) and Carys Douglas, 22, in a quality time.

In September, Zeta-Jones shared a photo golf golf with Michael and wrote: “Go Green !! Weekend Away !! Happy Wife, Happy Life!”

The couple recently celebrated its 24th wedding anniversary in November. Michael wrote on Instagram: “24 years ago, my darling; Wow was a lucky guy! Happy Anniversary Catherine!”
