Mets’ Alonso, Acuña win monthly awards

The New York Mets ended April with the best record of the league, and a few of their players take home hardware due to their contributions.

MLB announced this on Friday Pete Alonso was appointed National League player of the month for March/April Luisangel Acuña Merit National League Rookie of the Month Honors.

Alonso, who returned over $ 54 million to the METs in a two-year contract after the current season, led all qualified rackets in the NL with a basic percentage of 0.474 and 212 WRC+ until April 30th, while with 2.1 for most FWAR with 2.1. He also accepted seven Homeruns to achieve a stroke of 0.343 and a percentage of 0.657 slugging.

Acuña beat .288/.342/.356 with a 102 WRC+, seven stolen bases and a 0.4 -Fwar, while he was released in 27 games and made 79 record appearances. He is currently bound by qualified NL newcomers for the second most Fwar, while he is connected Dylan crews The Washington Nationals for the most stolen bases.

Acuña performed in 14 competitions and undertook 40 trips on the plate in 2024, but he did not exhaust his justification and is therefore still considered a newcomer this season.
