It is all part of another new beginning for the pioneering horror franchise that brings an extended multi-platform, multimedia universe to the market that is appropriate enough as a Jason universe.

Adweek has her exclusive first look at the Jason Voorhees, who will meet the audience in this brave new world. And you will notice that the appearance of this Jason marks a return to earlier Fridays before his trips to hell and space have transformed him into a hulcing, deformed monster.

“We strive to maintain Jason’s original essence and at the same time with a defined appearance and the feeling of bringing Jason into his next chapter,” confirms Rob Barsamian, President of Horror, Inc., the company, the part of the past of the character and the future. “We also work with well -known and fresh franchise votes to meet this balance.”

One of these voices is the special effect of Legend Greg Nicotero, which was supported in the design of Jason’s version, which will be in the Jason universe. “We gave Greg our new 13-hole mask and worked together on this full-body look that embodies the classic Jason,” says Barsamian. “He is a strong, towering and terrible slasher with a machete, his gun of choice.”

The start pad for the Jason Universe will be Peacock’s upcoming Prequel series Crystal Lake, which is produced in collaboration with A24. But the Chief Marketing Officer from Horror, Inc., Sheri Conn, promises that her ambitions go back to the big screen and beyond.

“We listen to fans and actively develop a board under the Jason Universe banner, which includes new films, games, immersive experiences, collector’s pieces and more,” says Conn. “Our film franchise is one of the most constant horror properties in film history, and we are actively reorganizing what the next chapter – and the slasher genre as a whole can be.”
