McDonald becomes Marist Softball’s all-time-hits leader in the loss of freedom

Bryan college station, Texas -The softball team at Marist University fell 10: 5 in the NCAA regional game in Texas A & M in Liberty in Liberty on Friday.

Graduate Shortstop Miah McDonald became the all-time hit leader of the program with a Homerun in the seventh inning. McDonald now has 242 career hits.

  • Liberty invited the bases with one in the bottom of the first, but Maddie Pleasants included two flyouts to end the inning.
  • Liberty scored four runs with two outs in the end of the second, all of whom were not deserved after an error. Brynn McManus’ three-run home scored the score 4-0.
  • Marist replied with three in the top of the third. Maddie Gore Get a walk to reach an eight pitch at bat. Peyton Pusey followed with a double, and Miah McDonald Then a Homer hit the left center with three runs.

  • Liberty then hit four on the bottom of the fourth, including a three-run double by Paige Doerr.
  • The flames then added two more at the end of the fifth.
  • Marist invited the bases with an out on the top of the sixth, but could not score.
  • Pusey and McDonald met Homer in a row to lead the seventh place, which made the last runs of the game.

  • Pusey and McDonald each went 3: 4 with two runs achieved. McDonald drove in four.
  • Marist ended with nine goals. Enjoyment, Samantha RogersAnd Isabella Manory added one each.
  • Pleasants went to the first 3.1 innings in the circle, and Anna Sidlowski went the last 2.2.

  • McDonald broke the record of Caroline Baratta, who played for Red Foxes from 2018 to 22, trained from 2023 to 24 years and is the managing director of the athletics department. Baratta put the record on a Homerun in 2022.
  • McDonald has recorded the records of the Homeruns program, runs, runs this season, hits and triple meat.
  • Marist’s five runs are a NCAA tournament program.

  • Marist will play Eastern on the east of Ostgiant on Saturday at 4:30 p.m.
  • The red foxes will compete between Saint Francis and Texas A & M to the loser of the next game of the regional.
