This is one of these months in which some social security recipients may carry out three checks on their bank accounts.

Those who receive additional security income will receive one in May – for May and one for June – due to quirks in the calendar of the social security agency.

Around 7.4 million Americans who may be disabled or only have limited resources receive monthly SSI performance payments. About a third of these SSI recipients use social security. These people will accept three benefits in the calendar month of May.

Traditional social security payments – for those who are older or retired – will be spent on Wednesdays during the month for most recipients. If your date of birth falls between the first and 10th of the month, this means that on the second Wednesday of the month you will be paid for this month on May 14th. Between 11 and 20 and 20.

Recipients of social security that received services before May 1997 are paid on the 3rd of the month – if they also receive SSI, this advantage comes on 1 ..

SSI payment calendar: months with two checks in front of you

As in February, the SSI recipients receive two checks in May. According to the SSA calendar, the SSI payment in May is to be issued on May 1st, and the SSI payment in June is planned for May 30th. Payment in June will be issued early because June 1st falls on a weekend.

This means that in June, as in March, the SSI benefits do not receive any payment in this calendar month.

This recurring calendar quirk meets again in August when the SSI receivers receive two checks – but no payment in the calendar month in September on August 1 and the payment in September on September.

SSI recipients also receive two checks in October, but not in the calendar month in November, according to the SSA calendar.

What is SSI?

Additional security income is a service payment for people with limited income or resources from 65 years or older who are blind or have a qualified disability. According to the SSA website, children with a qualified disability can also receive SSI.

Adults who earn more than 2,019 US dollars a month usually do not qualify for SSI.
