Mangos are the versatile champion of fruits – here it is to use them

If warmer weather approaches, there is no better way to make the season easier than bite in some sweet, juicy mangoes. The taste of mangoes lands somewhere between peach, oranges and pineapple, and whether they are an enthusiastic mango fan or new in the sweet Stone fruit, deserves this fruit packed with taste for a moment in the spotlight this season. Try in everything, from morning smoothies to flavored cake-sog Sogar sharp salsas. Regardless of what is on your menu, these mango recipes will feel every food like a fresh, tropical retreat.

What are mangoes?

Mangos are stone fruits related to peaches and nectarines and can be any combination of yellow, orange, green and red. This tropical delicacies are native to South Asia, but popular throughout the world and one of the most frequently grown tropical fruits. Mangos are usually sweet, but can also have a touch of flower or pine taste. They are super juicy when they are ripe and make a good choice for drinks and smoothies in summer.

How to prepare mangoes

The key to creating the best mango recipes is that they use ultra-mature fruits. Before mangoes are completely ripe, you can have a somewhat bitter or acid taste with a harder interior. Some mango types turn a rosier red or orange on the tire, while others sometimes remain green. One of the best ways to test a mango for maturity is to give her a gentle squeeze, similar to peaches. If the fruit is easy, it is ripe. If it feels difficult, it takes more time before it cuts into it. Marriage should also have a noticeable, strong fruity smell.

Like other stone fruits, mangoes have a large pit in the middle that can be slightly intimidating if they have never been cut into one. Use a sharp knife after washing to cut completely through the fruits on both sides of the seed. Note the inner fruits or remove them from the peeling and slice (although it is technically edible, you want to avoid eating a mango skin).

Top Mango recipes that you can try this season

Just because mangoes are generally sweet does not mean that you have to limit it to breakfast or dessert dishes. Read on for mango-integrated recipes.

Breakfast

Start your morning directly by having mango for breakfast. You can easily cut the fruits next to grain or oatmeal. Add it to a smoothie with other vegetables or tropical fruits, use it as a filling for light and fluffy crepes, or even refresh a breakfast sandwich by adding mango windows on a thin bagel with ham for a meal inspired by Hawaiian. Another delicious way to add mango to the menu is to combine them with their morning orange juice for a refreshing, chilled Agua Fresca.

Lunch/dinner

Do not overlook mango for hearty recipes – it can be delicious if they are combined with black beans, onions and coriander as sweet and pikestart salsa. It is mixed with freshly chopped mango and crowned with more mango that was once poured into a cup or bowl (there is no too much mango!).

You could even make mango jelly for a refreshing bite with a unique texture. With this sweet treat, mango puree is usually cooked with sugar, gelatin and coconut water and then cooled until it is defined.
