The Israeli football community mourns the loss of Maccabi Haifa midfielder Gadi Kinda, who died on Tuesday after a long hospital stay due to a serious medical illness at the age of 31.

The former Israeli national team player had been hospitalized for several weeks while being treated for a complex medical problem.

Arta came to Maccabi Haifa in January 2024 after four seasons with Sporting Kansas City in the Major League Soccer. After returning to Israel, he signed a three and a half year contract. In his first season, he registered four templates and scored two goals. This season he added three more templates before he had finally performed on March 29 in a game against Hapoel Haifa.

Born and raised in Israel, his career began in the youth system of FC Ashdod and made his professional debut there. In February 2019 he was acquired by ABOR Jerusalem for € 1 million (approx. $ 1.1 million) and signed a contract for four and a half years. A year later he went to the USA and entered Sporting Kansas City in January 2020.
