League of Legends -Wasd movement controls could soon be a reality

While it is a core column of so many PC games, Mobas like League of Legends I have never come on board with WASD movement controls. However, a new datamine seems to show that Riot is ready to add the option to play LOL with WASD controls in a rather large change in the status quo.

League of Legends once dealt with the WASD movement, but this was only resigned in his 2024 period of Swarm, Swarm. However, this never really seemed to be as if he was seriously experimenting and testing for his application in the main game. Swarm was a PVE mode that played more like a bullet sky, described the Moba gameplay and had a small group of playable champions such as Jinx, Seraphine and Yasuo.

According to a Datamine yesterday from the latest PBE patch from ‘Skinspotlights’ there was a code line that pointed out to the addition of Wasd options. But today, after they are immersed in even deeper, they have uncovered further details, including the actual menu screens.

In the pictures that are shared by skinspotlights, you can see default settings for “classic controls” that use your mouse for movement and “modern controls” for WASD movement. It is worth noting that even if you activate WASD, you can also use your mouse for movement. Skinspotlights also found that “Flash 3 Settings”, “Cursor”, “Wasd with Cursor Enhanced” (and) Wasd with Cursor Fallback. ”

A shift to WASD movement controls could really be one of the greatest changes in the gameplay that Riot has made in League of Legends, but it can also prove to be split if it turns out that it is a easier or more effective way to play the game – those who have been mastering the mouse movement for many years may have to be transferred again if Wasd becomes a new standard.

Some have wondered whether this is actually a universal backdrop for LOL or whether WASD movement is simply added for new spinoff game modes, as we saw in Swarm.
