According to the police, fifteen searches and seizures were delivered against nine destinations across Brazil. One of these searches was the man who allegedly killed a child or a baby during the concert because he claimed that Gaga was a satanist and, according to policewoman Maria Luiza Machado, wanted to “react in the same way in the same way”. He was charged with terrorism and crime, the police added.

Two of the search commands were the result of coordinated measures with the US consulate, which, according to the Rio de Janeiro Civil Police, warned of potential threats.

A spokesman for Lady Gaga announced CNN on Sunday that there was “no known security concerns” before the superstar’s concert.

“We learned about this alleged threat of media reports this morning,” says the spokesman’s statement to CNN.

“Before and during the exhibition, there was neither security concerns nor communication by the police or the authorities to Lady Gaga about possible risks. In a statement, the police said that they had carried out their operation “with discretion and precision” in order to avoid “panic or information from the population”.

Dani Morera Trettin, one of the millions of Gaga fans who took part in the concert, told Julia Vargas Jones von CNN that he was glad that the police did not tell the public about the threat because it could “cause great panic”.

On Sunday, Specialized police chief Andre Neves said at a press conference that the police had prevented many crimes planned in the “deep network” in the past three weeks.

In a contribution on Instagram, Lady Gaga thanked the one who performed her Copacabana performance and wrote: “Nothing could prepare for the feeling that I had during the show of the last night – the absolute pride and joy I felt for the people in Brazil.”

In addition to photos of her performance, Gaga wrote that “the sight of the crowd during my opening songs took my breath away. Her heart seems so bright, her culture is so lively and special that you know how grateful I shared this historical moment with you.”

Last May, an estimated 1.6 million people took part in a free Madonna concert on the same beach, which exceeded temperatures that had exceeded 86 degrees (30 degrees Celsius) to gather for the show.
