Kapaa softball deserves top seeds in Dii states

Honolulu-Die Kapaa High School Softball, which ended the Central Pacific Bank Kauai Interscholastic Federation, deserved the top seed for Division II at the Data House Hawaii High School Athletic Association Division II Division II Softball State Championships, from 7th to 7th to 7th to May 8 in Honolulu.

The HHSAA released the Bracket Play on Saturday, after the Waimea High School, KIF No. 2, Molokai had run down during a game played on Maui.

The Waimea Menehune will meet Waialua on Tuesday when the teams meet in the facility of the McKinley High School. The winner of this matchup will meet No. 3-Saatgutkamhameha School-Hawaii Island on Wednesday in the quarter-finals.

The winner of the Pahoa and Radford high schools will compete against No. 2 Seed Pearl City on Wednesday. The winner of No. 5 Seed Pac-5 and Aiea will meet No. 4 Seed Lanai on Wednesday. The winner of the Kohala and Kailua game on Tuesday will face the CPB KIF champion Kapaa on Wednesday.

The DII championships will play on Friday from 4:30 p.m. in the Rainbow Wahine Softball Stadium of the University of Hawaii in Manoa.
