JR Smith calls Knick’s trade the “end of an era” with approx.

JR Smith opened 7 p.m. in Brooklyn with Carmelo Anthony As to why he became emotionally after finding out that the New York Knicks exchanged him in 2015.

Smith admitted that Carmelo Anthony was initially annoyed by him and that Iman Shumpert played with LeBron James and the Cleveland Cavaliers than losing a long -time friend and teammate.

Smith also believed that this trade signaled the “end of an era” because he and Anthony would never be team -mates again.

“I’m not Gon, man to man, I was more hurt,” he said. “It felt like it was more between you and Bron, against the relationship that we had over time that we had and that we had. And for me I could only really fathom that it was over.”

“How, damn. How, my best friend,” he continued. “I’m never back with this N ***. It was like a real live end of an era.”

Before reunification of the Knicks, Smith and Anthony played almost five seasons together on the Denver Nuggets.

“When it happened, it was my first thought and I went away from this shit, was damn, was this shit?

Smith said he realized how Anthony really felt after a conversation with his father.

“I told my father this shit. My father looked at me as if I had three heads. He said: ‘You are praising me right now? This man loves you.’ Gave me a completely different perspective and a view of the shit, and I just thought: ‘No, you right.’ “

JR remembered that he had tried to convince Shumpert of the preliminary walls to join the Cavaliers because he still didn’t take over the news the next day well.

“He still goes like this: ‘Damn, Joe, they don’t believe in us …”, Smith recalled. “I like, avoid if you don’t put these shit down, we will win a chip. ‘ We were only near the last place.

“You see our team?” He continued. “He says, ‘close Joe, man, fuck this shit, fuck this shit. Man, we come at two weeks later, everyone who came back. Bron was healthy. Kyrie was healthy. K-love was healthy. We start to blow out shit. He looked at me, like’ Yo Bro, I stumbled.”

Smith again signed the cavaliers in the following season and helped the franchise for his first championship.
