John Cena beats Cody Rhodes for the championship at WWES Wrestlemania 41

John Cena is now alone in the WWE history.

The professional wrestling superstar won a record festival of the 17th World Cup at Wrestlemania 41 in Las Vegas by defeating the undisputed WWE champion Cody Rhodes.

What made this title separated from the others was Cena’s breathtaking heel transition in March, in which one of WWE’s famous good things from WRESTLEMANIA became a villain.

Cena remained loyal to his heel and won the match against Rhodes with a cheap shooting root and by striking Rhodes with the championship belt before he held it.

He also received help from an unlikely source – Travis Scott. The rapper with charts strolls over his left shoulder with a championship belt and prevented Rhodes from winning.

Rhodes wanted to capture Cena after ending him with his characteristic cross rhodes, but Scott pulled the referee out of the ring on his legs to stop the number.

Scott then entered the ring and tried to beat Rhodes just to be hit with the cross Rhodes himself. However, Cena made it possible to re -group the game and ultimately win.

With the victory in front of almost 65,000 fans in the Allegian Stadium, Cena said goodbye to the WWE Hall of Famer Ric Flair, who won 16 world titles during his legendary career.

His pioneering victory came in the middle of a pension tour for Cena, which announced in July 2024 that he will be forever after he was released in several WWE events in 2025.

During a WWE event in March, Cena swore to bring the record title home.

“I will win this championship and retire,” he said in the Ring mode in full heel. “I take it home and leave them all to create a brand new toy belt because the real one comes home with me. I will be the last real champion in WWE.”

CENA, who turned 48 on April 23, discussed potential retirement plans during a appearance in the 3rd hour today in January 2024 when he was asked whether he would make the decision to retire when he was 50.

“That sounds pretty accurate, isn’t it? Fifty is half of 100,” he said at the time. “I love to be in the ring, that’s the only thing I could do for forever, but the harvest of these superstars there is now quick, it is young and it is exciting. I have the exciting and enthusiasm, I have neither fasting nor the boy.”
