Jenna Ortega brings her talent to the director of the director.

In a conversation with the V -Magazine, the “Wednesday” star said that she has been working on a script for “almost 10 years” and it is now the right time to bring it to life. She continued that she not only wants to play and produce the film, but also wants to lead it.

“I have a script that I knew about 10 years. It is strange because it is something I thought when I was younger and when I started in this area for the first time, and only now do I actually start to take the steps to take what is really interesting,” said Ortega. “I only put the puzzle parts in my head. I think it took me a few years to understand the order of things.”

She continued: “This in particular, I see myself in it, but I really want to direct. This is probably the main thing that I want to do. I see it for myself. I just have the feeling that my brain wants to work and think, and so I even see my acting sometimes.”

While Ortega has never directed, she made her debut as the executive producer in the recent A24 horror comedy “Death of a Unicorn”, in which she also played the leading role. It will shortly play Executive Producs and the leading role in Trey Edward Shults’ “Eile Tomorrow” and in the coming season of “Wednesday”.

Ortega added that she would like to step out of the spotlight for future projects and work all behind the scenes.

She explained: “I don’t want to be in the things that I will create in the future, but if I have created more lever for myself with a name as an actor, I can also use it as a springboard.”
