Jazz, trainer wants to agree to Hardy by 2031

The Utah Jazz and trainer wants to have approved Hardy by 2031 of a multi -year expansion, said owner Ryan Smith on Monday.

“Will is a great guide, communicator and ambassador for our organization and an enormous partner of (CEO Danny Ainge), (GM Justin Zanik) and I,” said Smith in a social media post. “Our goal is to hang up a banner and will be a large part of this trip.”

The 37-year-old Hardy was commissioned before the 2022-23 season to train jazz and set up an 85-161 record in his three seasons, without playoff appearances. Jazz was fifth in the Northwest Division this season with a record of 17: 65.

“I am humble and honored,” said Hardy according to the team. “This is an incredible franchise. It is difficult to explain to be able to use the next phase of our process. Moments like these are very surreal. I’m so excited.”

Hardy was commissioned with the development years of the reconstruction of jazz. Before Hardy came to the jazz, he worked as an assistant under the Gregg Popovich (2015-2021) and the Celtics’ Ime Udoka and reached the NBA final in his only 2022 season with Boston.

He was also a basketball assistant for the Gold Medal winner 2020 team at the Tokyo Olympics.
