I've tested pretty much every OLED gaming monitor known to man and these are by far my favorite Black Friday OLED deals

The problem with OLED display technology is that it’s very difficult to go back to almost any LCD display once you’ve tried it. Well, that’s not the only problem, the other obvious problem is pricing. That’s where these Black Friday deals on OLED gaming monitors come into play. They make OLED panels a bit more affordable.

And you might be surprised at how affordable these OLED offerings are. Well, compared to the painfully high prices that the early OLED gaming panels fetched.

The fun starts at $575, which gets you into a 34-inch ultrawide model. For $700 you can upgrade to the full 32-inch 4K experience. Even one of those 49-inch, 32:9 aspect ratio monsters now costs $900.

Okay, none of these are even remotely considered budget-oriented. But in some cases, that’s half the price you would have paid for a similar monitor about 18 months ago.

As for me, I’m really torn. The 34-inch ultrawide form factor is certainly a sweet spot. But then the 4K 32-inch option gives you much better pixel density and the 49-inch alternative is just an impressive beast.

I really can’t decide!

MSI MAG 341CQP

The 34-inch ultrawide is really a great compromise. For gaming, it’s big enough to really immerse yourself. Likewise, the native resolution of 3,440 x 1,440 delivers good image detail without the debilitating GPU load of full 4K.

On the desktop, the 21:9 format is simply ideal for multitasking. The only downside is the somewhat mediocre pixel density. Of course, what you get is the incredible OLED experience with perfect per-pixel lighting and incredibly fast response times.

Additionally, this MSI MAG 341CQP features a Samsung QD-OLED panel, which means the SDR brightness is decent in full-screen mode. So this panel doesn’t just offer a crackling HDR experience. It’s a good all-rounder.

In this price range, the refresh rate is “only” 175 Hz. But I’m completely okay with that, I’m not buying this monitor for e-sports. There are certainly better options for this area of work. For me? This sub-$600 thing looks pretty sweet.

MSI MAG 321UP

The first 4K OLED gaming panels cost well over $1,000. But this MSI now costs just under $700. This is a haircut.

The obvious downgrade here is the 165Hz refresh, while more expensive 4K OLEDs offer 240Hz refresh. But seriously, when are you going to hit 240Hz at 4K in the latest games? And if you want maximum frame rates for e-sports larks, then a 4K monitor is a non-starter from the start.

It’s also worth noting that this cheaper model has a USB-C port with only 15W of power output, which isn’t much use for powering a laptop. But for the rest, this offers the same spectacular Samsung QD-OLED experience as many much more expensive 4K options. It’s an incredible viewing experience.

Gigabyte Aorus CO49DQ

$800 is a lot of money. But then the Gigabyte Aorus CO49DQ is an incredibly large OLED monitor. Actually worth 49 inches.

Simply put, this is a pair of 27-inch 1440p panels merged into a single, view-filling monster. So in terms of things like pixel density and image detail, it’s a real stunner for one of the 1440p models. In other words, it’s not as sharp as the 4K option.

But that’s offset by a sense of scalability and immersion that a 32-inch 4K monitor can’t match. Of course, not all games are fully compatible with the monstrous 32:9 aspect ratio. And the 5,120 x 1,440 resolution places twice the demands on your graphics card as 1440p, although slightly less than 4K.

Still, this type of monitor is a joy for non-gaming tasks. It offers you plenty of space for multitasking. Honestly, the only thing that concerns me is the somewhat mediocre pixel density. If it hadn’t been for that, I would have already pulled the trigger. And I could still do it.
