IShowSpeed drops the truth bomb on the “streaming vs. 9-to-5” debate

The age-old argument over which job is harder – streaming or regular 9-5 work – just got a new twist from one of the biggest streamers of 2024: IShowSpeed.

This discussion has been on everyone’s lips for years, especially as streaming and influencer culture skyrocketed thanks to platforms like Twitch and YouTube.

Back in February, political streamer Hasan spoke out and said streaming was more difficult, with OTK co-founder Asmongold supporting him.

Months later, FaZe Clan’s Max and Lacy reignited the debate, sparking major backlash. Fast forward to November, and Plaqueboymax added gas to the fire by claiming that streaming was the more sophisticated gig.

Enter IShowSpeed. During a recent stream, Speed directly addressed the controversial question: Is being a streamer harder than signing up for a regular job? His opinion? Living in the kitchen of a nursing home gave him the perspective he needed.

“When I was 15, I had a job,” Speed shared. “I worked in the kitchen of a nursing home and was like a waiter, bringing them food and delivering it. And I’ll tell you this: No, no, when I worked there it was much more difficult. It’s just tiring, you know.”

“I don’t even understand how people even say that,” he said, addressing streamers who claim content creation is more difficult.
