iPhone 15 price drops in rare new Apple Best Buy deal

This story was updated on November 29th with new iPhone deals.

While Samsung and Google fight for Black Friday supremacy, Apple’s iPhone prices have remained stable. But you can score a rare iPhone deal this holiday season, even if the discount doesn’t match that of Android competitors.

Best Buy has discounted several iPhones for Black Friday 2024. As expected, the iPhone 16 remains at full price. But if you’re a real bargain hunter, opting for the iPhone 15 makes far more sense anyway.

  • Apple iPhone 15, $50 off – Final price: $679.99.
  • Apple iPhone 15 Plus, $50 off – Final price: $779.99.
  • Apple iPhone 14 Plus, $50 off – Final price: $629.99.
  • Apple iPhone 13, $50 off – Final price: $499.99.

Where is the iPhone 15 Pro?

As you can see, Best Buy hasn’t discounted either the iPhone 15 Pro line or the iPhone 16. There’s a reason for this: the iPhone 15 Pro and Pro Max support Apple Intelligence. However, not with the basic iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus. The Pro devices are more valuable and are likely the reason why both the iPhone 16 and iPhone 15 Pro series are going full price in some stores. Of the two, the iPhone 15 Pro is the better offer.

However, there are discounts there for the 2023 Pro series. Amazon seems to have the best offers so far.

  • Apple iPhone 15 Pro, $58 off – Final price: $709.95.
  • Apple iPhone 15 Pro Max, $50.74 off – Final price: $869.95.

Amazon’s iPhone 15 Pro is priced cheaper than Best Buy’s iPhone 15 Plus, making it a no-brainer. Update from November 29th: Apple has now released its official Black Friday offers. As always, there are no direct discounts on the iPhone or iPad range, but does provide credit on select purchases.

  • iPhone 15 – $75 gift card
  • iPhone 14 – $50 Gift Card
  • iPhone SE – $25 gift card
  • MacBook Air 15-inch – $200 gift card
  • MacBook Air (M3) 13-inch – $175 gift card
  • MacBook Air (M2) 13-inch – $150 gift card
  • iPad Pro – $100 Gift Card
  • iPad Air – $75 gift card
  • iPad (10th Generation) – $50 gift card

Apple has also increased its trade-in prices when purchasing new hardware and they are competitive…if you’re trading in an iPhone. They cost a maximum of $650 if you trade in an iPhone 15 Pro Max. A more realistic trade-in like the iPhone 12 Pro Max will set you back $300. That’s in line with Samsung’s price (when purchasing the Galaxy S24 Ultra), which I believe is the industry leader in trade-in ratings.

However, Apple’s offer is far less impressive if you have a Galaxy phone to trade in. The company is paying just $130 for the Galaxy S21 Ultra compared to Samsung’s valuation of $650. Although Apple’s smartphones lose value, they still retain a larger portion of their launch price than any other smartphone brand.
