Here’s what Ice Cube told Cam Newton about maintaining his 32-year marriage

On Friday, November 22nd, a new episode of Newton’s Funky Friday podcast was released via YouTube. In addition, Cube was there as a guest. Additionally, Newton and Cube brought up the topic of marriage about thirty-one minutes into the episode.

Newton asked Cube how he managed to “stay true” to his principle of being a family man while working in the entertainment industry. Additionally, Newton asked Cube to share his marriage “hack.”

“…You have to want it,” Cube told Newton. “You just have to want it, man. I don’t want anyone to have my wife. She’s mine. I belong to her.”

At that point, Newton seemingly explained to the rapper that marital bliss probably doesn’t last every day. Cube, in turn, replied: “But who in life does that happen?”

“You don’t like your mom every day. Some days it gets on your nerves… Not every day will be a dream. You can’t expect that from your spouse. “It’s just a matter of whether you’re all a family or not?” he said. “…It’s really about real commitment and not about constantly meeting your every need…”

Subsequently, his revelation prompted Dr. Cheyenne Bryant to share her opinion on Brown’s decision to continue pursuing a relationship with Newton.
