President-elect Trump’s appointment of Kash Patel as FBI director has sparked widespread outrage in the fake news media. I’m sure none of this surprises Kash, who has seen it all.

Fake news media typically doesn’t attack congressional staffers by name, but years ago they made an exception for Kash. At the time, he was my lead investigator on the House Intelligence Committee as we investigated allegations that President Trump colluded with Russia to rig the 2016 presidential election.

We quickly began uncovering evidence that the entire Russia collusion narrative was a hoax, funded by the Democratic Party and Hillary Clinton’s campaign and weaponized by our own intelligence and law enforcement agencies. Shockingly, the abuses included the Justice Department and FBI providing false information to a secret court to obtain an arrest warrant for Trump campaign official Carter Page.

At the time, Kash was a formidable detective and investigator who drew on his own experience as a Justice Department prosecutor to uncover what misdeeds these corrupt officials were committing. To get to the evidence, we had to overcome their incessant blockade, over-classification of documents, and countless other tricks and maneuvers they used to cover up the truth.

KASH PATEL IS THE FUMIGATOR THE FBI NEEDS

Fake news reporters and “resistance” bureaucrats understood that the evidence we found undermined their hoax and launched an all-out jihad against Kash, with anonymous sources accusing him of committing every conceivable atrocity known to mankind.

The attacks on Kash went beyond these information warfare operations – in a face-to-face meeting with us, senior Justice Department officials, who clearly didn’t like their dirty laundry being aired, threatened to subpoena Kash’s communications. What we didn’t find out until years later was that they had done it already seized Kash’s emails as well as the emails of other congressional staffers investigating the collusion hoax, including staffers of Sen. Chuck Grassley, R-Iowa.

In summary, the Justice Department was secretly spying on its own constitutionally appointed overseers to find out what we knew and how we knew it.

You can imagine how intimidating it would be for an employee to be directly threatened by high-ranking Justice Department officials. But Kash refused to be bullied. Fearless, methodical and intelligent, he ultimately played a crucial role in uncovering the most consequential and damaging hoax in American history.

Kash Patel’s nomination sparks excitement and fear; The future of the FBI seems uncertain

Given the Russia collusion hoax, the politicized January 6th investigation, various surveillance abuses, the abuse of confidential human informants for political purposes, the pressure on Big Tech to censor the Hunter Biden laptop story, the investigation of protesting parents at school board meetings, and countless other manipulations, the FBI and DOJ clearly need drastic, fundamental reform.

Tinkering at the edges is not enough – the entire culture of these institutions must be transformed, and their workforces must be decentralized so that they can refocus on fighting criminals and terrorists rather than politics.

To successfully carry out this mission at the FBI, the FBI needs a director who understands the problems and knows how to solve them. What matters is that this person must have the courage to do so, despite the wails of the media and the entire galaxy of left-wing interest groups, as well as the fierce opposition of the upper echelons of the FBI staff.

WHO IS KASH PATEL? Trump’s election as FBI leader has a long history of promising to destroy the deep state

Kash has an extensive track record of public service as a public defender, terrorism prosecutor, senior staff member of the Office of National Intelligence and the National Security Council, and Chief of Staff of the Department of Defense. But his record on the House Intelligence Committee alone shows that Kash has the courage and commitment to reform the FBI.

It’s amusing to see discredited former officials on cable news shows denouncing Kash’s nomination as if it heralded the end of the republic. After all, those who abused, politicized and discredited the FBI, and those who tried to cover up those abuses, have much to lose if Kash is confirmed.

Imagine if these people could no longer rely on the FBI to investigate and arrest everyday Americans with dissenting political opinions, leak false information against their political opponents, and actively undermine the presidents they are supposed to serve.

Kash understands surveillance abuses and intimidation tactics because he’s experienced them himself – and he’s never backed down.

If you want an FBI director who will go along, you’re better off with someone else. If you want a director who will abide by the Constitution and transform the office into an impartial, trustworthy law enforcement agency that zealously pursues criminals rather than political targets, then Kash is certainly the man for the job.
